Meet Stinker’s long time employees at Black Canyon Stinker #45 in Caldwell. Mary Pedley was born in Terre Haute, Indiana and raised in Indiana and Idaho. She went to Fruitland HS & TVCC and was one of the first females to letter in Fruitland HS track, baseball & basketball. In 1966 she was Idaho Powder Puff Grand Champion! Mary served in the US Army from 4/75 to 10/98, 4 years active duty and then Reserves. Mary was adopted in 1952 but reunited with her sisters, Eva & Sandy in 1971. They lost track of Sandy but were reunited 40 years later just last year and had a wonderful reunion. Eva lives in Illinois and Sandy in Michigan. Mary lives in Payette with her 3 dogs and cat and takes care of a close friend weekly and works at Stinker on the weekends. Mary Teel was born in Ontario, OR and raised in Payette with her older sister. She attended Payette HS and College of Idaho. Mary plays the flute and piano and enjoys reading, puzzles, cross-stitch and the ocean. She currently lives in Payette with her monster cat Sebastian. Mary said she enjoys when people are tickled and curious about the Stinker name. Mary is the Assistant Manager and her advice to a new employee is to, “Relax, ask questions, and treat the store like it’s yours. Jerry Medford was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and grew up in Fruitland with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He attended Fruitland HS and was active in track and field and ran cross country. Jerry enjoys fishing, camping and country rides. He currently lives in Caldwell off Exit 13. Jerry is the grounds keeper for Stinker #45 and loves that his job consists of working outside since he likes being outdoors. His advice is to greet all customers with a greeting and a smile. J Kathy Roath was born in Wheaton, Missouri and grew up in Idabel and Holly Creek, Oklahoma with her 2 sisters and brother. She attended Idabel Gray HS. Kathy moved to New Plymouth, ID with her husband Butch of 44 years in 1980. Together they have 3 children; Dana, Steve and Stephanie; 9 grandchildren-BreAnna, Courtney, Alex, Sami, Brendan, Morgun, Libby, Aimee and Ashley; 1 great grandson, Kaliber and another due in October. They love spending time with family! Kathy said “I love my job”. Best advice she ever got was, “A smile costs you nothing but is worth everything. I try not to leave home without it!” Judi Gamerdinger was born and raised in Boise the oldest of 4, 1 sister, 2 brothers. She lived outside Weiser with her kids and grandmother for 10 years then moved to Arizona for about 25 years before returning to beautiful Idaho. Judi has 10 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Judi currently lives 10 miles west of Emmett with her 2 Bengal cats and scruffy little dog. Judi says you never know what’s going to happen when you start your day. A good sense of humor helps! Like the time a little old man came into the store with overalls on and left with nothing on?
