Stinker Stores, privately owned since 1936, is a leader in Idaho in the convenience store industry.
In 2002, the Lind and Johnson families decided to retire and sell their family business. In November of that year, local Boise businessman Charley Jones and long term Stinker employee Shawn Davis decided to form a partnership and purchase the Stinker Stores and related business interests of the Farris Lind family. WestPoint Transportation and Arrowrock Supply are affiliated businesses owned and managed by Stinker.
Since then Stinker has acquired and built over 30 new sites, bringing the total to over 65 retail operations in Idaho with more than 500 employees. The company is continually looking to expand its retail presence.
In December 2012, Shawn Davis announced his retirement. Stinker and it’s affiliated companies are now soley owned by Charley Jones and his family. Stinker Stores is a dynamic company know for its casual, team-oriented work environment.
Stinker markets food, convenience items and “Eco-friendly” Green fuels, such as E-85 and E-10 ethanol blended gas. This is a natural progression for a company that has been marketing (10 percent ethanol blended fuel) for over thirty years.
